FollowSpy Alternatives: 6 Cheaper Instagram Follow Trackers (2026)

FollowSpy Alternatives: 6 Cheaper Instagram Follow Trackers (2026)

FollowSpy (followspy.ai) is a web-based Instagram follow tracker. According to its site, you paste a public username with no login, it pulls the latest follow and follower data in real time, shows follows and followers in chronological order, tells you who unfollowed an account and when, sends notifications on new activity, and includes an anonymous story viewer. Its plans page lists Starter (up to 2 accounts) at 30.00 USD per week and Premium (unlimited accounts) at 35.00 USD per week, with lower figures on a quarterly toggle and a countdown banner.

The most common reason people look for FollowSpy alternatives is price. At the published weekly rates, FollowSpy costs several times more than most other trackers, and its refund policy allows refunds only when the service failed to work as described, with a single use disqualifying. Other reasons: it does not publish how often a tracked account is re-checked, it has no mobile app, and its 4.95/5 rating from 25,597 reviews is reported on its own site rather than a store.

This guide compares six alternatives using only what each product states on its own site or store listing. For the same follow, unfollow and notification features at a fraction of the published price, The Ick is the closest match. For unlimited accounts, Lurk. For a free tier or engagement data, IGDetective.

1. The Ick

The Ick does what FollowSpy's feature list describes, at a published price of 8.99 USD per week or 34.99 USD per year in the US, with lower prices in many countries. You add up to 5 public profiles and each one is checked every hour. It records new follows and unfollows in both directions, meaning who the profile started or stopped following and who started or stopped following them, along with follower and following count changes. The most recent follows are sorted by recency, every event is timestamped in a history timeline kept for the life of your subscription, and you get a push notification when something changes. A gender breakdown of recent follows is included.

No Instagram login is needed, the tracked person is never notified, and only public data is used, so private accounts cannot be tracked. There is no story viewer.

Platforms: a web app at theick.io that works in Safari on iPhone and can be added to the home screen, and an Android app on Google Play rated 4.6 with over 192,000 ratings. Not currently on the Apple App Store. Pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay on the pricing page, cancel anytime from Settings and keep access until the end of the period. Type a username into theick.io to see a 5-step analysis before subscribing. The instagram recent follow tracker page explains the feed.

Best for: the same tracking job at roughly a quarter of FollowSpy's published weekly price.

2. Lurk

Lurk is the alternative if unlimited accounts is the FollowSpy feature you cannot give up. Its subscription covers an unlimited number of public accounts, its FAQ says it scans tracked profiles once per hour, follows are sorted newest first, and it bundles a free anonymous story viewer with story notifications. It runs on iOS, Android and the web. Unfollow tracking is not mentioned on its homepage, though its App Store description refers to a history of every change.

Its site does not publish the regular weekly price (it starts at 1 USD for the first week and prices appear at checkout); its App Store listing shows Lurk Premium Weekly at 19.99 USD, Yearly at 119.99 USD and Lifetime at 249.99 USD. Web refunds can be requested within 14 days provided you have not made extensive use of the service. Ratings: 3.1 from 34 on the App Store, 4.3 from 531 on Google Play.

Best for: unlimited accounts with an hourly cadence and story viewing.

3. IGDetective

IGDetective is a web app with a free tier, which FollowSpy does not have. Free users can track one profile with limited manual refreshes; Premium covers up to 5 profiles with one automatic refresh every 24 hours plus unlimited manual refreshes and follow notifications, at 30 per month with a 7-day refund. It shows follows and followers in chronological order, detects unfollows, keeps a story archive, and tracks likes and comments on the tracked profile's posts, which none of the pure follow trackers do. No login is required and private accounts cannot be accessed.

Best for: trying one profile free, and engagement data on top of follows.

4. Radarrr

Radarrr (Recent Follow Tracker: Radarrr, by Innovative Digital Technologies Limited) is a native app on the App Store and Google Play. Its listings describe recent follows in chronological order, push notifications when a tracked account follows someone new, unfollower detection by comparing follower snapshots, and a subscription that unlocks unlimited accounts. App Store in-app purchases are 9.99 and 4.99 USD per week and 49.99 USD per year; Google Play lists 4.99 to 49.99 USD per item. It is free to download with ads. Ratings: 4.5 from 109 on the App Store and 4.5 from 236 on Google Play. No check interval is published and there is no web app.

Best for: a native iPhone app with unlimited accounts at a lower weekly price than FollowSpy.

5. Katch

Katch is a web tool with a similar pitch to FollowSpy: recent follows in chronological order, who followed them lately, a full follow history timeline, story downloads, notifications on new follows, no login. Its site does not publish prices (the pricing URL returns the homepage), a profile limit, a check interval, private-account handling or refund terms; it shows a 50 percent off flash sale for the first search and self-reported figures of 4.7 from 12,881 reviews. Because nothing is published, it is hard to say whether it is cheaper than FollowSpy.

Best for: a one-off look with story downloads, if you accept learning the price at checkout.

6. RecentFollow

RecentFollow is a web dashboard very close to FollowSpy in shape: paste a username, no login, follows sorted newest to oldest, unlimited accounts and unlimited searches on a single Expert Plan, a weekly and quarterly toggle and a flash-sale countdown. Its plans page shows 9.80 per week on the quarterly toggle, struck from 35.00 per week; the quarterly total and weekly-billed price were not published. Its refund policy allows refunds within 7 days only if the product failed to work as described, with a single use disqualifying. It does not state that it tracks unfollows or how often it re-checks.

Best for: unlimited accounts at a lower quarterly-toggle price than FollowSpy, with fewer stated features.

How to choose

If price is your reason for leaving FollowSpy, compare yearly totals. Over a year at published rates, The Ick's annual plan is 34.99 USD, Radarrr's is 49.99 USD on the App Store, and Lurk's is 119.99 USD on the App Store. FollowSpy publishes no yearly plan; 52 weeks at its Starter weekly price would be 1,560 USD, and even the quarterly-toggle figures work out far higher per year than any of those three. IGDetective at 30 per month is 360 per year.

If features are your reason, check what each site actually states. Unfollow tracking is stated by The Ick, IGDetective, Radarrr and FollowSpy itself, but not by Lurk, Katch or RecentFollow. A published check interval is stated only by The Ick and Lurk (hourly) and IGDetective (daily). Story viewing is offered by Lurk, IGDetective, Katch and FollowSpy, not by The Ick. The instagram unfollow tracker page explains why cadence matters for catching unfollows.

Whatever you choose, the same limits apply. Private accounts cannot be tracked. Instagram does not expose a reliable order for following lists, so every tracker relies on timestamped snapshots, and a follow undone between two checks may never be seen; see how Instagram follow trackers work. Frequently asked questions

What is the best FollowSpy alternative?

For the same job at a lower published price, The Ick is the closest alternative: follows and unfollows in both directions, notifications, a published hourly check interval, and 8.99 USD per week or 34.99 USD per year in the US for up to 5 profiles. If you need unlimited accounts, Lurk is the main alternative; if you need story viewing, Lurk and IGDetective offer it.

How much does FollowSpy cost?

Its plans page lists Premium at 35.00 USD per week and Starter at 30.00 USD per week, with 14.00 and 12.00 USD shown on a quarterly toggle under a 60 percent off label and a banner offering 30 percent off quarterly plans. The quarterly totals were not published in the content we could load.

Does FollowSpy offer refunds?

According to its refund policy, refunds are available within 30 days of purchase only if the service failed to work as described after troubleshooting. There is no refund if you used the product successfully but did not find the data you hoped for, and using the platform even once disqualifies.

Which FollowSpy alternatives have a story viewer?

Lurk states its anonymous story viewer is free, IGDetective includes an anonymous story viewer with an archive on Premium, and Katch offers story downloads. The Ick does not offer story viewing.

Can any FollowSpy alternative see a private account?

No. Every tool in this guide works only with public profiles. FollowSpy's own refund policy treats expecting access to private accounts as a misunderstanding, and the same applies to every alternative.
