Is The Ick legit?
Yes, and here is everything you would want to check before paying: what it does, what it cannot do, what it costs, how refunds work, and which apps using the name are not ours.
What The Ick actually does
You give it a public Instagram username. It takes a snapshot of that profile's followers and following, then checks again every hour. When something changes, you see exactly which account was added or removed and get a push notification. You can track up to 5 profiles at once, on the web or in the Android app.
It works without an Instagram login because everything it reads is already public. That is also why the person you track is never notified.
What it cannot do
- It cannot track private accounts. No legitimate tool can.
- It cannot show likes, comments, DMs, story views or anything Instagram does not make public.
- It cannot show history from before you started tracking. The timeline begins at the first check.
- It does not tell you why someone followed or unfollowed. It shows the change and the time.
Pricing, published up front
In the US the web subscription is 8.99 USD per week or 34.99 USD per year, with lower prices in many countries. The exact price in your currency is on the pricing page and on the checkout screen before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically and can be cancelled at any time from Settings, with access kept until the end of the paid period.
Ratings
The Android app is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 192K+ users on Google Play, where you can read reviews yourself. The web app shares the same backend and account.
Where the scam reports come from
Several apps and websites reuse the name The Ick. theick.ai is a different company that says so in its own footer, and there is an unrelated "The Ick" app on the Apple App Store from an individual developer. Payments to those go to their owners, not to us, and we cannot refund them. Our official app page lists the real website and Google Play package so you can check.
Refunds and support
Refund terms are published on the refund policy page. Support is a real inbox at support@theick.io. Google Play purchases follow Google's refund process.
